Our Story

 Since 1993, Rowena has operated her jewellery business in Ōtautahi, Christchurch.

The 2010/2011 earthquakes hit our city of Christchurch and the environs very hard. It was a turning point for us and we brought all our manufacturing home to Aotearoa, New Zealand and especially Christchurch. We wanted to ensure that not only ourselves as a business could thrive, but also that our local goldsmiths had work and a future here too. Over time, so much manufacturing has moved away from New Zealand and we wanted to help keep jewellery manufacturing here in Christchurch at the very least. It was also important to be able to view the work as it was being made to ensure the quality of our jewellery.

As time has progressed, we have added CAD (computer aided design) to our portfolio which allows for less gold wastage during the manufacturing process, and the ability to work in finer detail. It also lets our customers see their design in a 3D form before it is brought to life in metal.

Rowena has always had a penchant for gemstones that are quite different from what customers are used to seeing in traditional jewellery stores. She obtains our gems either directly from the source, or from master gem cutters. It is important that our gems are cut by someone who is qualified and professional to ensure that they bring out the best features of each gemstone.

We offer a bespoke service where our small but talented team can help to bring your dream piece of jewellery to life. You can choose to incorporate your own heirloom gemstones, or select one from our large range of unique and beautifully cut gemstones.
